Amazing place to unwind for a week or more. The cottage is clean, beautifully decorated, and just perfect. We love the food from Papa Phil. Pizza, warm bread, blueberry pancakes, fresh squeezed orange juice and blueberry muffins, were just a few of the amazing items from the menu that we loved. I truly was sad to leave this piece of paradise.
Absolutely charming, peaceful, romantic, outdoorsy and adventurous, clean..clean clean! So cozy, cute, comfy! The bed was the best ever with wonderful pillows and the softest sheets and cozy comforter! The mastersuite was perfect. The house was so well stocked clothes and food was all needed! Just down the hill the owners have a porch kitchen where you can purchase Papa Phil's homemade jams, peppers, and tomatoes as well as seasonal veggies, fresh eggs, churned butter and even fresh jars of honey and home-made soaps. Papa Phil bakes the best bread ever as well as pizza made from scratch. He won't give away his secrets but be sure to place your orders early for fresh baked biscuits, His homemade jam and several other breakfast items for a nice breakfast delivered right to your door. Truly a wonderful place..best kept secret!
My husband and I, along with our two German Shepherd Dogs, stayed at the Honeysuckle Cottage. We’ve stayed at a number of vacation rental properties and this was, by far, one of the best places. Not only was the cottage clean, the complimentary fresh blueberries and homemade cookies delicious, and the surroundings tranquil, but we didn’t have to plug in our nightlights (they were provided), or use our flashlight to take the dogs out at night (flashlight and lantern provided), and we didn’t have to wonder what light switch did what (they were marked). This was one well-appointed cottage! A tornado warning went into effect during our stay and Ilaeka even came to the cottage to inform us of this. Our dogs loved the property and we had an enjoyable and relaxing time. We would highly recommend this property.
This is the place we return to again and again!! Peaceful, private and tranquil. There's plenty to do nearby if you're looking for adventure (hiking, Watts Bar Lake, and plenty more) but if you just need to recharge there's no better place to do it. Ilaeka and Papa Phil make each guest feel special and welcome. Once you discover this place in person, you'll want to come back.
My husband and i stayed at Cowgirl Cabin for the solar eclipse...The cabin was absolutely charming and was well stocked with anything you might need for your "glamping" experience! The property owners are super sweet and were eager to help or answer any questions that we had... The property has hiking trails and a fishing pond... We had such a great time and cant wait to go back!!!
